Officer Impersonator Has Police On Alert

Irving police on Friday released details of a traffic stop in which a man wearing what appeared to be a Rowlett police uniform stopped a female driver.

She became suspicious after the man told her she faced arrest warrants. She refused to get out of her car and called Irving police.

The fake officer jumped into his black and white Dodge Charger, which had emergency lights and the word "Rowlett" on the side, and drove away.

Rowlett police say the man does not work for the department.

The suspect has a tattoo on his right index finger with the word "Savior."

There is no more information regarding the suspect's identity at this time.
