Houston City Hall Evacuation Over

A Houston police official says a suspicious package led to a brief evacuation of City Hall before the package was destroyed.

Spokeswoman Jodi Silva said the package was discovered outside City Hall about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, leading to a partial evacuation.

Silva said the package was disposed of less than an hour later, and the evacuation order was lifted.

Silva said she didn't immediately have details of what was in the package or how it was removed. She said there were no reported injuries.
