The promotions arm of AshleyMadison.com, the dating website catering to married or attached people, says Dallas ranks third nationally, per capita, when it comes to the number of would-be mistresses.
The matchmaker, which touts, "Life is Short. Have an affair." says Dallas is only eclipsed in that category by Phoenix and Washington, D.C. and that, according to their own research, 1/3 of all women in Dallas seeking affairs on their website are actually single.
Marketing experts continued to mine the data and learned that the Dallas hub for the most home-wreckers is the 75219 zip code, near Oak Lawn, where 1,532 of the site's members live. In that zip, 502 of the members are women. The zip code, according to the site, has a population of 25,382 -- so that's 6 percent of the population that are on the site.
The company's founder, Noel Biderman, said in a news release that he wasn't all that surprised by Dallas' standing in the rankings.
"Dallas is a place where people's private lives don't necessarily reflect the conservative reputation of the city," said Biderman.
That may go for Houston as well, which ranked sixth on this list.

AshleyMadison said there are roughly 72,000 members in Dallas, 22,000 of which were female. In DFW, they said membership was more than 277,000 with 83,000 being female.
