Cuban Hops into Bed with Girls Gone Wild

Mark Cuban's HDNet television network is teaming up with "Girls Gone Wild" to produce a reality show to find the hottest girl in America.

Yes, this Girls Gone Wild is the same brand that is known for lewd DVDs of young women exposing themselves on camera.  And yes, Mark Cuban, the outspoken owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

Some are surprised by Cuban's association with what some may consider to be questionable programming, but the GGW brand is right in HDNets wheelhouse, a network that boasts original and provocative content for men.

The series is titled "Girls Gone Wild Presents: Search for the Hottest Girl in America." It will run for 12 weeks starting May 14 as part of HDNet's late-night "Guys Night In" lineup.

"We're very excited to work with the Girls Gone Wild team to launch this show," said Cuban, president and co-founder of HDNet. "The program is a cool, behind-the-scenes look at the GGW enterprise and a wild ride for our viewers. It's a perfect fit for the new, unrated, late-night programming block that we air as part of our 'Guys Night In' line-up every Thursday."

GGW founder Joe Francis said Cuban is a pioneer and that they were "excited by the opportunity to share with viewers this behind-the-scenes look at Girls Gone Wild in action."

In the series, viewers will climb aboard Francis' private jet and million-dollar tour bus as the GGW camera crews track down girls vying for the title of Hottest Girl in America.  In a news release on their website, HDNet said thousands of girls hoping to win the title have already submitted photos and videos.

No word if Francis, who told a judge last January that he would try to stay out of nightclubs, will be personally pounding the pavement for the hottest girls.  Still, the show promises wild college girls who will do anything to win.  Fans of GGW shouldn't be disappointed as that sounds like very familiar territory.
