NASA is developing an Iron Man-like robotic exoskeleton (not the one in shown in this file image) that could improve mobility for astronauts and paraplegics.
Watch out Tony Stark. NASA is developing its own version of the Iron Man suit.
Worn over the legs with a backpack harness that reaches up over the shoulders, the X1 would allow astronauts in space to exercise by providing resistance training, the release said.
Here on Earth, the X1 could be developed into an assistive walking device for paraplegics and a rehabilitation device for those with leg injuries.
The exoskeleton is still in the research and development phase.
