Google Wants Your Comments
New tool allows users to comment on Web pages, whether Web publishers want them or not

Users with the Google Toolbar installed in their Web browser will now be able to leave comments on any Web site they like thanks the new SideWiki feature.
Many Web pages already allow comments, and of course sites like Twitter, Digg, Reddit and even Google's own Reader application also allow you to say something pithy about a link or news item.
But the SideWiki will allow Google to collect everything in one place, and with links to a Google profile, hold people accountable for what they say.
The feature will also rank comments based on user input as well as algorithms to estimate something's worth -- such as scanning a message for all capital letters and demoting it.
And if you don't want people commenting on your website? Well, tough luck. Start working on that thick skin and cutting comebacks.
