A woman who found a charm bracelet on a Texas beach in the mid-90s tracked down its Georgia owner after posting a picture on Facebook.
The Beaumont Enterprise reports that when Joan Mitchell found the bracelet on Crystal Beach, she put an advertisement in a local newspaper. Then, she stored it in a jewelry box.
Last month, Mitchell found it again. It had three clues: Americus High School, Merle and Beth. She posted a picture on Facebook last Friday, and within a day found the owner.
The photo was shared more than 2,000 times when Jen Buchanan, of Americus, Ga., saw it. She says the bracelet was given to her by her godmother as a high school graduation present and was stolen when her home was burglarized in 1973.
