With Two Games Left, Stars Look to Finish Regular Season Strong

The Dallas Stars are 7-2 in their last nine games

The Dallas Stars have two regular season games left before the playoffs begin, and they’re not about to look past either of them.

Even having taken a tough 3-1 loss to the Ducks in Anaheim on Sunday, the Stars are 7-2 in their last nine games, and as Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News points out, they’ve allowed an average of just two goals a game over that stretch.

Suffice to say, Ruff is happy where the team is at at the moment. But he doesn’t want to see the team let up in these final two regular season contests, against the Avalanche on Thursday and the Predators on Saturday. Both are home games for Dallas.

"We've got two left and we want to win them both," Ruff said, per the Morning News.

Captain Jamie Benn echoed that sentiment.

"We've got four points on the line that we want to get,” Benn said. “It's not going to be easy. Colorado has been a great team against us, and Nashville is a playoff contender, so we've got our work cut out for us.”
