Who's On, Who's Not?: June 24

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Rougned Odor — Since returning from Triple-A after a near-two month demotion, the young second baseman has transformed himself at the plate. He's showing much better discipline and making pitchers throw him strikes again. When they do, he's making them count. He's batting .375 over his last six games with a homer and a team-high five RBIs in that stretch.

Colby Lewis — The veteran righty struck out seven and walked none while working eight innings of one-run ball against the White Sox over the weekend.

Tanner Scheppers — The late-inning reliever has allowed one hit over his last 3 1/3 innings of work with four strikeouts and is giving the Rangers confidence that he can once again be an elite setup man.

Who's Off?

Keone Kela — The young, hard-throwing righty has fallen off a bit in recent outings, and it could be due to being overworked this year. Kela has allowed three runs over his last 3 1/3 innings on two hits and an alarming four walks. He also provided the Dodgers with a walkoff balk on Thursday night.

Leonys Martin — The Rangers center fielder has lost his competition for the time being because of Delino DeShields' injury, and it's hurting him with no one to push him. Martin is batting just .100 over the last six games, and in his 20 at-bats in that time, he has 10 strikeouts. Ouch.
