The UT Dallas men's basketball team's run into history came to an abrupt end Saturday night when the team lost 64-59 to Guilford College in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

UTD led throughout much of the game though in the game's final five minutes could only muster five points against a Quakers defense that suddenly forced overtime.

In extra play, the momentum stayed with Guilford as the team earned a narrow five-point win and a trip to the D3 Final Four.

UTD ends the 2009 campaign with a very respectable 26-5 record -- the best in team history.
