The Texas Rangers gave some West Dallas elementary students an early holiday present.
Rangers players handed out gloves donated by State Farm at a C.F. Carr Elementary School assembly Thursday afternoon.
School officials say 95 percent of the students there are on free or reduced lunch.
Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation said it wanted the kids to know what its like to have a glove of their own.
Some players say they grew up in poverty and still remember that feeling.
