"Never ever give up, go Frogs."
That's the message 7-year-old Micah Ahern, of Arlington, sent to the TCU baseball team on Twitter – a simple message packing an inspirational punch.
"He truly is a teammate, he's got a locker," TCU said head coach Jim Schlossnagle. "We think about him, we talk about him, he's in our daily conversations. He's a part of us."
The team signed Micah to a letter of intent several years ago.
And with that locker, he got free reign of the field – he can even walk into the dugout anytime he wants.
But that relationship is coming to an end. The cancer Micah has been fighting since he was only a year old has progressed. He stopped chemotherapy and will soon enter hospice.
"I don't think he's in any pain or anything," Schlossnagle said. "Just trying to enjoy as much time as a family as they can."

The team has bombarded Micah with messages of support ahead of their third consecutive trip to the College World Series in Omaha.
"He's a great example of how we should live life and how we should play the game," said TCU infielder Elliott Barzilli.
