TCU Picked 13th in AP Preseason Poll

You know the college football season is right around the corner when the preseason polls start rolling out.

TCU is ranked 13th in the Associated Press Top 25 Preseason Poll, the ninth time in the last 11 years the Horned Frogs find themselves in the preseason poll. They're also ranked 14th in the Preseason USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Frogs have finished in the top 10 in back-to-back seasons and five times in the last eight years. They return 13 starters (seven on defense, six on offense) from last season. The Frogs finished the 2015 campaign with an 11-2 record, including the dramatic triple-overtime win over Oregon in the Alamo Bowl.

The Big 12 Conference has a total of four teams in the AP Top 25. Oklahoma is ranked third, Oklahoma State is 21st and Baylor is 23rd.

TCU is picked to finish second in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma. The Frogs open the 2016 season on September 3 at Amon G. Carter Stadium against South Dakota State. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m in Fort Worth.
