TCU Men's Basketball Scrimmage Set for Nov.3

TCU’s men’s basketball season will get underway with the Frog Army Scrimmage on Friday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.

The doors open at 4 p.m. and is free for anyone to attend. The event features the defending NIT champions in a purple/white scrimmage. At 6 p.m. the TCU players will participate in a 3-point shootout, dunk contest and a half-court shot contest with the chance for a TCU student to win $1,000.

Free Jamie Dixon bobbleheads will be given away and the first 1,000 TCU students will get a free Frog Army T-shirt. There will also be free Gatti’s Pizza for TCU students.

TCU opens the season on Nov. 10 with an 8 p.m. game in Schollmaier Arena against ULM. The Horned Frogs return their top six scorers, including all five starters, from last season's team which went 24-15 and won the NIT. TCU was picked third in the Big 12 Conference Preseason Poll. Senior Vladimir Brodziansky was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team and senior Kenrich Williams was named Preseason All-Big 12 honorable mention. Brodziansky was also named to the watch list for the Kareem-Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award.
