The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools says the Division I-5A State Championship football game between Nolan and Prestonwood Christian Academy is being rescheduled.

The TAPPS championship game was originally going to be played  Friday at 7 p.m. in Corsicana, but due to the weather advisory is being rescheduled.

"Thanks to everyone for your patience while we worked to reschedule the game," said Steve Prud'homme, athletic director. "We are all looking forward to a competitive and thrilling final."

The game will now be played on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m.

The game will be played in Corsicana at Tiger Field. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students & senior citizens.

The football game isn't the only event being postponed due to the coming storm.  Several North Texas cities are postponing or canceling holiday events scheduled for this weekend. See a list here.
