You could see it coming for a mile away.
After Ross Detwiler allowed three runs immediately after the Rangers scored seven, you were starting to sweat.
Then, the Rangers built their lead back to five and then saw Tanner Scheppers walk three guys while only getting one out and the sweat came back to your brow. It was excruciating, and it was easy to see what was coming.
After Scheppers was yanked for being awful, new manager Jeff Banister went to the bullpen kid Keone Kela to face Robinson Cano with the bases full, and... Kela walked him to walk in a run. At that point, it was all over but the crying.
Then, Banister brought in closer Neftali Feliz with one out in the eighth expecting him to get five outs. At that point, you might as well have just turned the television off. Feliz, of course, eventually got out of the eighth with a one-run lead, but you knew what was coming.
Then, it did come, and the Rangers lost to lose another series and leave them still waiting for their first series win of the year. It was awful on several fronts, and it was tough to watch. At least we have Monday off to regroup.
