Strong Says He's Happy at Texas

First-year Texas coach Charlie Strong says he's happy where he is and has a lot of work to do with the Longhorns.

The first question Monday at Strong's weekly news conference was about interest in the Florida job after the weekend announcement that Will Muschamp will not return next season. Strong responded that "I have a great job here" at Texas with more work to do.

The Longhorns (6-5) have won three in a row to become bowl eligible. They close the season against No. 5 TCU (9-1) on Thanksgiving.

Strong won a national championship as Florida's defensive coordinator before coaching Louisville.

He has a guaranteed five-year contract that will pay him more than $25 million. It has no buyout for his salary if he leaves for another program.
