Dallas Stars defenseman Nicklas Grossman left Sunday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first period with a lower-body injury and did not return.
Grossman had played only four shifts in the first period before leaving with the injury.
Grossman starts with Stephane Robidas on Dallas' top defense pair, and the Stars had to shuffle their defensemen to compensate for Grossman's absence.
The Blue Jackets beat the slumping Dallas Stars 2-1 on Sunday, matching a club record with their fifth consecutive road win.
