More than 5,000 kids were rewarded for their reading efforts Tuesday at Texas Motor Speedway as part of its Speeding To Read program.
Drivers Tony Kanaan and John Hunter Nemechek helped celebrate the reading accomplishments of elementary school students to culminate the sixth season of the program.
Racing will return to Texas Motor Speedway for the Rattlesnake 400 and Rainguard Water Sealers 600, June 9-10. John Hunter Nemechek shared his thoughts on racing in Texas.
The drivers served as special guests for the championship assembly as well as participate in a Q&A session and serve as trophy presenters to winning students.
