Two recruiting classes ago, the Oklahoma Sooners got one of the top-ranked offensive centers in the country by Rivals.com in Argyle Liberty Christian's Ben Habern.

Now, as Habern enters his redshirt freshman season as the penciled-in starter for Bob Stoops and the Sooners, Norman has attracted yet another blue-chip recruit at center, as Rockwall-Heath's Austin Woods orally committed on Wednesday to play for Oklahoma, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Oral commitments are non-binding. The first day a Class of 2010 recruit can sign a national letter of intent is Feb. 3.

Woods tallied 14 scholarship offers before choosing the Sooners, highlighted by Texas Tech, Auburn, Kansas and Missouri.

The Rockwall-Heath junior stands 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs in at 290, nearly identical specs to those of Habern, who was a U.S. Army All-American after a dominant career at the TAPPS level.

Woods is just a four-star recruit at the moment, but he should see his stock climb even more, if that's really possible, with a good senior season. As of now, Woods is the fourth-ranked center in the country according to Rivals.com.

Woods is one of a few returning big names for Rockwall-Heath, who lost a big number of stud players from last season, highlighted by running back Kendial Lawrence (Missouri), that led the Hawks to a breakout season last year. Without the blue-chipper in the backfield, Woods and his linemates up front will be counted on heavily to keep the Hawks' attack going this season.
