Sean Lee Earns Positive Reviews in Return to Action

Lee played in a game on Saturday night for the first time since December of 2013

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee earned positive reviews in his return to the field on Saturday night after a year-and-a-half absence.

As you probably remember, Lee missed all of last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, suffered during organized team activities. Before that, he missed the final three games of the 2013 season with a neck injury. Saturday marked the first game of any sort that Lee has participated in since December 9, 2013.

Owner Jerry Jones, for one, got a familiar feeling watching Lee make a play during the 28-14 exhibition loss.

β€œThat was Lee taking on the flow of the play coming his way and I didn’t have to look twice,” Jones said, per ESPN Dallas. β€œI just saw the five on the back of his jersey and knew Lee had arrived. That was a play that was classic Lee.”

Lee finished with three tackles while playing in three defensive series in the first half.

β€œHe had hits on the ball,” head coach Jason Garrett said,” was around the ball a lot and really looked like his old self.”
