Wednesday we discussed the Reebok Super Team offense in the recently-released Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine, and now we'll start with the defense.

So you may wonder, why are we just "starting" on the defense? Because there are too many local kids to devote just one article to it.

So I decided to look at one unit on the Super Team that is exclusively DFW talent -- the defensive line.

You have to start with Plano West defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, who is the Defensive Player of the Year. The son of former Dallas Cowboys rusher Jim Jeffcoat, the 6 foot 5 inch, 230-pound rush end runs a 4.5 40-yard dash and does plenty of damage to opposing offenses, like he has been for three years as he will be a rare four-year starter in Class 5A come August. Jeffcoat is literally being recruited by every big-name program there is, including USC, which seems to be the benchmark of college offers.

DE Jackson Richards, Southlake Carroll - Richards committed to Texas Tech back in April and could end up playing tackle with his big frame. If that happens, look out, because he has the speed of an outside speed rusher.

DE Reggie Wilson, Haltom - RIght up there with Jeffcoat in terms of being highly-sought after, Wilson also had an offer from the Trojans, but decided to stay close to home down on the 40 Acres with Mack Brown. Wilson's story's a great one that has been documented here multiple times as he moved from war-torn Africa and never played football until his sophomore year in high school.

DT Taylor Bible, Denton Guyer - The best pure defensive tackle in the country was a key reason for the Wildcats' emergence onto the scene last year as they turned 1-19 to 12-3 with a trip to the state semifinals. Bible is Texas-bound after his season which saw him collect 88 tackles with an astronomical 42 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
