Redskins Have History With Cowboys Playmakers

So, the Washington Redskins come to Arlington for a Monday night affair tonight, and on paper, it looks to be shaping up pretty nicely for the 6-1 Cowboys to improve to 7-1 and win their seventh straight game.

The Cowboys' offense has been unstoppable for much of this season, thanks to the insanely good running game, which ultimately leads to an insanely good passing game. But hold up, friends.

The Redskins, as bad as they are, have historically been very troublesome on defense for Tony Romo & Co., especially since Jim Haslett took over as defensive coordinator a few years back. And this year, they have held down some pretty good running backs, highlighted by Arian Foster and Marshawn Lynch.

In fact, DeMarco Murray has never had a 100-yard game against the Redskins, and if you're thinking it's because Dez Bryant has been shredding the Redskins' secondary you'd be wrong because he has just one 100-yard game in seven career starts against them.

Now, let's be real: This year's Cowboys offense is much different than past years' with a more intent commitment to the running game. Also, the Redskins will be without their best cornerback, DeAngelo Hall, and their top pass-rusher, Brian Orakpo.

So yeah, on paper, this looks to be a high-scoring affair and an offensive field day from the Cowboys' perspective. But then again, history would say otherwise.
