Rangers Sign Four 1st Round Picks

The Texas Rangers have signed right-hander Luke Jackson, selected in the supplemental first round of June's amateur draft, to a minor league contract with a $1,545,000 bonus.

The Rangers have signed 37 of 53 draft picks, including their top 20.

Jackson was taken with the Rangers' third overall pick from Calvary Christian High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-hander went 8-0 with a 0.90 ERA and 87 strikeouts, three shutouts and two saves in his senior year.

He also hit two home runs and drove in 21 RBIs.
