Rangers Might Have Payroll Problems
MLB commish says the league is being "helpful"

Rangers owner Tom Hicks said he wants to sell the Rangers.
Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig told baseball writers the league is helping the Texas Rangers.
The Star-Telegram's Anthony Andro reports the commissioner would not go into details about how the league is dealing with the Rangers financial problems. Rangers owner Tom Hicks announced he will sell a majority stake in the club. The decision came weeks after he defaulted on a $525 million in loans.
"The Texas thing is just where it is. We've done some things to be helpful down there, but that's not the first time in our history we've done that and I trust probably not the last. Do I have any concerns about the franchise per say in terms of running? No I do not," said Selig.
When asked what baseball was doing to be helpful, Selig would not elaborate and he did not comment on reports that the league has helped the team make payroll either.
"I don't want to comment on that. We did some things to be helpful and that's all I want to say."
