Rangers Fantasy Outlook: Second Base

With the 2015 season on the horizon, it's time to start talking fantasy baseball drafts and where, if at all, you should target Rangers.

Second base: Rougned Odor

2014 stats: .259 batting average, .297 on-base percentage, .698 OPS, 14 doubles, 7 triples, 9 home runs, 48 RBIs, 71 strikeouts, 17 walks, 114 games

Last season, Odor was playing over his head as a 20-year-old kid who should've been in Double-A. He showed brilliance, and he showed flaws expected from such a player. Overall, he was a pleasant surprise in the midst of an awful, awful 2014 season for the Rangers.

He's having a tremendous spring, which we know can't be factored really at all, but it's nothing but encouraging to see what he's doing — .433 batting average, .469 on-base percentage, 1.135 OPS, two doubles, triple and a home run. That's quite a spring.

Odor isn't going to be a top-flight second baseman this year, but he's a guy that you could grab late and take a flier on, and in a keeper league, he could be a pretty coveted guy.
