Rain Won't Dampen TCU Fans' Spirit

Will it rain on the parade? That's what TCU fans who made the trek to Pasadena want to know.

Fans hoped to see their Horned Frogs take on the Wisconsin Badgers under the warm California sun. Instead they get to experience a bit of North Texas weather in California as the rain continues to fall and the temperatures hover in the 50s.

It's rained only 10 times in the 97 year history of the Rose Bowl, leaving fans optimistic the skies will clear by Saturday.

"I don't like the rain, but it's always sunny in California, it will clear," said TCU fan Sarka Ziegler. She, like thousands of other TCU fans made the trek to Pasadena only to be disappointed by the grey skies.

"I go to TCU and I'm from Pasadena, I can't remember the last time it rained here," said TCU student Leah Heefner. Heefner was one of the many fans who didn't come prepared for the wet weather.

The Tatum family came all the way from Grapevine. "We had our rain coats out by put them back, we decided to be optimistic," said Bettina Tatum.

The rain is supposed to stop but the temperatures will remain cool. As Steve Tatum said, "Your at the Rose Bowl you have to enjoy it rain or shine!"
