Prosper Native Chris Buescher Gears Up For Sprint Cup Chase

NASCAR's Playoffs Shift Into High Gear Sunday

The Chase for the Sprint Cup gets underway Sunday afternoon at Chicagoland Speedway and one of the drivers to keep an eye on is North Texas native Chris Buescher.

Buescher became the first Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate to win a Sprint Cup race since Joey Logano did it in 2009, and his victory at Pocono back in August punched the Front Row Motorsports driver into NASCAR’s playoffs.

Buescher is one of five drivers 26 years old or younger who notched postseason berths and will be challenging for the Sprint Cup crown against several gristly veterans.

The 23-year-old Prosper native spoke to us about his chances heading into this weekend's race on the NBC Sports Network.
