G'Alonzo Milton caught two touchdowns from David Isabelle Saturday as Alabama A&M defeated Prairie View A&M 17-15 to secure a spot in the championship game of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

The Bulldogs (8-3) tied with Alabama State at 7-2 for first place in the SWAC East Division, but won the tiebreaker by virtue of their head-to-head victory. Jackson State, also 7-2, is not eligible for the postseason.

Prairie View (5-6, 5-4) needs a loss by Grambling State (6-4, 5-3) in its final game Nov. 26 against Southern to tie for the SWAC West Division title.

Milton, who had three receptions for 100 yards, had scoring grabs of 68 and 10 yards in the third quarter as Alabama A&M took a 17-0 lead.

Prairie View scored on a safety and added two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but a two-point conversion pass after the final score with 3:47 remaining was incomplete.
