Power Rankings: NFC East

In a weekly post, we'll talk about where teams in the NFC East sit after each weekend of play.

1. Dallas Cowboys (6-1) โ€” The Cowboys aren't just the best team in the division, they might be the best team in the NFL, and at least the NFC with the Denver Broncos making a case. After their road win in Seattle, the Cowboys picked up a win in their first divisional game of the year as they held off a desperate Giants team on Sunday afternoon using their winning formula of a dominant running game and a dangerous passing attack to complement it.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) โ€” Coming off a bye week, the Eagles have a big test this week as they travel to Arizona, which is a really tough place to play. Nick Foles has fallen off drastically from his MVP-caliber 2013 season, but it hasn't been all his fault. The Eagles' running game is a mess but should improve with the return of several injured offensive linemen. The Eagles' defense isn't great, but it's been very opportunistic this season by forcing turnover after turnover and finding the end zone some, as well.

3. New York Giants (3-4) โ€” The Giants have lost two straight to the two teams above them in the division and right now appear to be a distant third in the NFC East pecking order. Eli Manning had a good game against the Cowboys, but the Giants running game struggled.

4. Washington Redskins (2-5) โ€” So this is what it's come to, huh? The Redskins found their savior at quarterback in Kirk Cousins, who was apparently on his way to supplanting RG3 under center. Then, Cousins struggled so badly, he was benched for Colt McCoy. Yikes. The Redskins are a mess, and things look to get even worse with a trip to Arlington on Monday night.
