There was no controversial officials' ruling in Sunday's NFC Championship Game, which the Seattle Seahawks rallied from a seemingly insurmountable deficit to win in comeback fashion over the Green Bay Packers.
But the comeback was far from normal.
The Seahawks trailed by 12 points with just a few minutes to play before eventually taking the lead and then being forced to overtime by the Packers. Early in overtime, the Seahawks won the game with a touchdown pass from Russell Wilson and the Packers never touched the ball in overtime before heading home disappointed losers.
As a Cowboys fan, it had to be somewhat gratifying to see after the Packers benefited from a highly questionable ruling in last week's Divisional Round win over the Cowboys when Dez Bryant's unreal catch was indeed ruled unreal, and incomplete.
As a Lions fan, that had to have been gratifying to see considering the Cowboys had benefited from a highly questionable ruling in the Wild Card game two weeks ago when a pass interference call on Anthony Hitchens was called off after it had already been announced.
That led to cheers around the country of bad karma catching up with the Cowboys last week. Now, the same can be said for the Packers, even if it involved an unlikely onside kick and not a questionable call.
