North Texas Falls to Arkansas State

Ryan Aplin rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another to lead Arkansas State to a 24-19 victory against North Texas on Saturday night. Aplin ran for TDs of 13 and 9 yards and tossed an 11-yard scoring pass to Dwayne Frampton as the Red Wolves (2-4, 2-2 Sun Belt) built a 21-3 first-half lead.

North Texas (1-5, 1-2) came back with a 1-yard Lance Dunbar TD run and three field goals by Zach Olen to make it a two-point game in the fourth quarter.
