NFL Looking Into Romo's Undisclosed Rib Injury

Tony Romo revealed last week that he has been playing with an undisclosed rib injury

Tony Romo’s admission that he’s been dealing with a rib injury has the NFL doing some investigating.

The rib injury wasn’t on the injury report going into last week’s matchup with the Chicago Bears, which could be a violation of league rules. Romo finally disclosed the injury, kind of offhandedly, after the team’s 41-28 victory in Chicago.

“We’re looking into it,” league spokesman Greg Aiello told ProFootballTalk.com.

This isn’t the first time the NFL has done a double-take over Romo’s status. Last year, they investigated the team when Romo went down with a herniated disk in his back in Week 16, and it came out afterward that he had been dealing with undisclosed back issues for weeks before that.

That investigation didn't lead to any punishment for the team.
