The USA soccer team is ready for its second game in the FIFA World Cup. Coming off a surprising draw against England, the team is now getting ready to face Slovenia on Friday.

Depending on which side you are on or how you spin it, the USA either played really well against England or the Three lions played really bad. Either way, the USA ended up with a great outcome.

Leading the team is Landon Donovan, who tells FIFA.com the England game "solidified some beliefs we already had, that we can compete with teams of their caliber."

He also said the team knows the next game is just as important.

Donovan is no stranger to World Cup action, he competed in 2002 and is currently a forward, midfielder, with the LA Galaxy. Some have even called him the face of USA soccer.

Fridays game is considered a must win for the USA. Slovenia already has 3 points in World Cup competition compared to the USA's 1, which means if the USA wants to stay in the competition and advance to the second round, they need to win.
