Murray on Replacement: I'd Like to See How

Before we get started here, we need to make one thing clear: The Dallas Cowboys do have the best offensive line in football, and was a huge factor in DeMarco Murray's franchise-record breaking season of 1,845 rushing yards in the regular season and two good playoff games.

Another thing we need to make clear? Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar could, in no way, come close to duplicating Murray's production from 2014 even if they're running behind that same elite line. In fact, not many could, but there are some who could match Murray behind that line, and possibly exceed him.

Murray is a special running back, and there is no doubting that. He's not average, he's elite and he's shown it in a contract year. So Murray might be getting a bit tired of hearing people say the Cowboys' line made him this year and that anyone could do what he did if running behind three straight first-round draft picks.

“I would like to see how it goes,” Murray said Thursday on NFL Network. “I would like to see how that plan would work for them. I don’t pay attention to it. You know, I have full confidence in myself and my ability to do what I’m capable of doing.

“I know my talents, I know how hard I play and, you know, I know what I bring to the table. So I’m not worried about it and, you know, I don’t hear it.”
