DeMarco Murray Named NFC Offensive Player of the Month

Murray also won the award in September

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray, who was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.

Murray is leading the league in rushing with 1,054 yards on the season--he’s the only 1,000-yard rusher in the league to this point--and has carried Dallas to a surprising 6-2 start. Two weeks ago, he became the first rusher in NFL history to start the season with seven 100-yard performances and, Monday night against the Redskins, he extended his own record with a 141-yard performance.

In October alone, he put up 691 total yards.

On the other side of things, New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady--fresh off his 51-23 dismantling of the Chicago Bears--won the AFC Offensive Player of the Month.
