Mean Green Pick Up Commitment from QB Logan Holgorsen

North Texas is in the middle of one of the best seasons in recent memory. The Mean Green are 4-3 and currently in first place in the Conference USA West Division. They are just two wins away from becoming bowl eligible.

Head coach Seth Littrell continues to stress that it’s a process. Well, that process recently picked up a big commitment as there will now be another Holgorsen in the world of college football.

Quarterback Logan Holgorsen, son of West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen, has committed to North Texas. The younger Holgorsen is a junior at Morgantown High School in West Virginia and will be part of the Class of 2019.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound pro-style quarterback also reportedly had an offer from Bowling Green. However, the choice was simple due to his relationship with Littrell and Mean Green offensive coordinator Graham Harrell that goes back to his childhood. His father Dana was an offensive assistant alongside Littrell at Texas Tech in the mid-2000’s. Harrell was the quarterback for the Red Raiders.

The younger Holgorsen did consider the possibility of playing at West Virginia, but he and his father felt North Texas was a better option.
