McClain Shows Up After Rough Season

Rolando McClain hadn't done much right since his return from a four-game suspension for substance abuse. After being one of the key cogs for a surprisingly good defense a year ago, his return didn't help matter in the midst of a seven-game losing skid that ended on Sunday in Miami.

Coincidentally, the skid ended in Miami on Sunday because, in part, of McClain, who had a big day at the office for the Cowboys' defense that dominated the Dolphins.

McClain and his teammates allowed just more than 200 total yards and only nine first downs on the day — about as dominant as you can get.

But it was McClain's second-quarter play that set the tone for the day when he intercepted Ryan Tannehill and 12 yards to paydirt on the first play of the second quarter to put Dallas up 7-0 after a scoreless first quarter.

If McClain can begin playing more like he did in 2014 and less like he did in the last month, it's going to be a big boost to the Cowboys' outside shot of getting into the postseason after digging themselves a 2-7 hole.
