Mavs Sign Wafer to 10-Day Deal

The Dallas Mavericks have signed guard Von Wafer to a 10-day contract.

The five-year NBA veteran last played in the NBA for Houston last season. He played in 63 games (11 starts) for the Rockets, and averaged 9.7 points with 1.8 points and 1.1 assists in 19 minutes a game.

Since the Los Angeles Lakers made him a second-round pick out of Florida State, Wafer has played in 109 games with the Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver, Portland and Houston. He also played in the D-League and internationally in Greece.

Wafer was available Wednesday night when the Mavericks played the Lakers, the first of six games over 10 days for Dallas.
