With the Lakers win over Sacramento Wednesday night, and the Mavs rout of the Hornets earlier in the evening, the Dallas Mavericks enter the 2011 NBA playoffs as the No. 3 seed.
In the first round they'll face the Portland Trailblazers in a best of seven series beginning Saturday at the American Airlines Center.
In the regular season, the Mavs and Trailblazers split their four games with two wins each, with Portland winning the last two.
Game 1 is Saturday and Game 2 is Tuesday, both set for an 8:30 p.m. start at the AAC. From there, they'll play Games 3 and 4 in Portland on Thursday and Sunday.
Games 5-7, if necessary will be April 25 in Dallas, April 28 in Portland and April 30 in Dallas.
If the Mavericks get out of the first round, they'll face the winner of the Lakers-Hornets series.
Elsewhere in the Western Conference, No. 1 seed San Antonio is facing No. 8 seed Memphis, No. 2 seed Los Angeles is facing No. 7 seed New Orleans and No. 4 seed Oklahoma City is facing No. 5 seed Denver.
In the Eastern Conference, No. 1 seed Chicago is facing No. 8 seeed Indiana, No. 2 seed Miami is facing No. 7 seed Philadelphia, No. 3 seed Boston is facing No. 6 seed New York and No. 4 seed Orlando is facing No. 5 seed Atlanta.
