JerryWorld Not in the Running for 2019, 2020 Super Bowls

The next Super Bowl the Cowboys will have a chance to host will come in 2021

North Texas last hosted a Super Bowl in 2011, and at least a decade will have passed before we host another one.

The Dallas Cowboys have been eliminated from the field of teams who will make a bid to host the Super Bowl in 2019 and 2020. The cities still in the running for those games, and the pomp and circumstance (and money) that surround them are Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa and Miami.

As Jeff Mosier of the Dallas Morning News points out, Atlanta seems very likely to host one of these, as they have a new stadium with a $1.5 billion price tag--a little more, even, than Jerry Jones spent on JerryWorld--set to open in 2017.

The next Super Bowl the Cowboys will have a chance to host will be in 2021, by which time Los Angeles could very well have a new stadium--and a new stadium in LA will obviously, admittedly present some stiff competition for a city whose last Super Bowl week didn’t exactly go swimmingly.
