Jerry Won't Rule Out Bruce Carter

Bruce Carter has missed the last two games with a strained quad

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones won’t rule out the possibility of Bruce Carter returning to the lineup next Sunday against the Giants, but he admits he’d like to have seen more progress from the linebacker to this point.

We didn’t like the way he was progressing right at the end of last week in practice,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “We noted that over the weekend that we’d like for him to have been just on cue and ready to roll at the start of practice this week.

“That doesn’t rule him out. Days make huge differences at this stage of a rehab of an injury, so I don’t want to rule him out. I’d like to feel a little better about him than we do, though.”

Carter, who was injured in the team’s September 28 win over the Saints, has 25 tackles, a sack and an interception on the season.
