Jerry Impresed by DeMarcus Lawrence

Lawrence returned to practice last week for the first time since breaking his foot in camp

Cowboys rookie defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence continues to impress in practice.

The Cowboys second round pick back in May, Lawrence returned to practice last week after spending the first six weeks of the season on the injured reserve/designated to return list with a broken foot, suffered back in training camp during a one-on-one drill against Tyron Smith.

Lawrence spent that six weeks lifting weights, and according to those at Valley Ranch, there’s a notable difference in his physique.

Lawrence had everybody frothing at the mouth a little bit out there last week,” owner Jerry Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan, per the Dallas Morning News. “He has really improved his body during this time off. He’s used it to really have a lot of strength work. It’s something that he didn’t do as much [in college] as he’s doing now. He’s had quite a physical improvement.”
