Jerry Calls Romo's Presence the Biggest Offseason Development

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo just went through a full, healthy offseason for the first time since 2012, but the team will continue to monitor the Pro Bowler in training camp. Head coach Jason Garrett said recently that it’s too early to say if the team will consider putting limits on Romo’s workload as they have in the past two camps.

“I think it’s early to talk about that,” Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News. “He seems to be able to handle the workload fairly well on back-to-back days, but we’ll try to treat those situations individually like we’ve done in the past, and try to get as much work as we can without compromising any of the players.”

For now, owner and general manager Jerry Jones is just thrilled that Romo had such a productive offseason. Jones declared last week that Romo’s mere presence was the biggest, most positive development of the Cowboys’ offseason.

“I don’t think there’s been a bigger one,” Jones said.
