Hamilton Beginning Rehab With Hopes of Returning Monday

Just as quickly as Josh Hamilton won back the support of the Texas Rangers fans with his dramatic walkoff, pinch-hit double to win a four-game series against the Boston Red Sox, Hamilton joined Adrian Beltre on the disabled list after tweaking his hamstring, presumably in that game.

Hamilton was on a roll when he left the Rangers lineup and was hitting .455 with two doubles, two homers and five RBIs over his last four games after going hitless in his first two with the Rangers.

The team hopes to see him in the lineup when the Rangers head to Baltimore on Monday, which of course is the site of Hamilton's four-homer game back in 2012, and that's really only because they don't want him playing on the awful turf in Toronto this weekend.

In his first at-bat on Wednesday in Frisco, Hamilton ripped a double to the wall in right field, showing he's hopefully picking up right where he left off when he hit the DL.
