The AirHogs used a big inning to cruise past the Pelicans-- -a seven run third put the game out of reach as the AirHogs beat the Pelicans 12-5.

Knotted at two runs apiece going into the third David Espinosa started the bottom half of the inning by singling to right field, and then stole second base before a Cesar Nicolas walk.  Both runners advanced on a passed ball. J.B. Tucker then followed by doubling in both runners to tie the score at four. Brandon Carter followed with his first triple of the season plating Tucker to give the AirHogs their first lead of the game. Jay Yaconetti joined the extra base hit parade with a double of his own scoring Carter pushing the lead to 6-4. Aaron Garza got his third hit of the night scoring Yaconetti and advancing to second on the throw home. Garza then stole third, and Drew Holder singled him home to make it 8-4. Cesar Nicolas scored Holder from second with a single up the middle.

The AirHogs plated their final runs adding one in the fifth and two more in the sixth to make it 12-5.

Despite the wide margin of victory the Pelicans did hold two leads before the seven run third.

Pensacola got two runs in the first when Cody Crowell started off the game by two walking consecutive batters before giving up a single to Antoin Gray to load the bases. Crowell continued to struggle hitting and then walked the next two batters to give the Pelicans a two run lead.

They also gained the lead in the third when they started the inning with back-to-back singles. Luis Guance roped a double into the right center gap to score two more making it 4-2.

Grand Prairie finished off Pensacola with three scoreless innings to take the second game in a row and clinched the series with one left to play.
