Gov. Perry Bets for the Spurs by Placing Friendly Wager Against Florida Gov. Scott

Spurs lead series 1-0

Gov. Rick Perry is rooting for the San Antonio Spurs to take the win for the 2014 NBA Finals between the Spurs and the Miami Heat.

He called Florida Gov. Rick Scott to place a friendly wager before Game 1 Thursday night.

If the Spurs win, Scott will mail Perry Whetstone Chocolates from St. Augustine.  But if the Heat win, Perry agreed to send Scott a three-pound cinnamon roll from Lulu's Bakery in San Antonio.

After Game 1 of the Finals, the Spurs have the lead with a 110-95 win over the Heat.

Game 2 is set for 7 p.m. Sunday.
