Glee Star Lea Michele Set to Sing at Super Bowl XLV

The Glee star will perform "America the Beautiful" prior to the game

The pre-game festivities for Super Bowl XLV got a little more gleeful today with the announcement that Lea Michele, of “Glee” fame, will sing “America the Beautiful” prior to Christina Aguilera delivering her assuredly drawn-out rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

A new, and I’m told “special,” episode of Glee, reportedly featuring a remake of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” is set to air after the game. The Black Eyed Peas are slated to perform at halftime.

"The whole episode is big," Michele’s costar Dianna Agron told Parade Magazine, per the LA Times. "There are really big dance numbers and pyrotechnics and zombies and fog. And a lot of Jane Lynch, which is always good."

Yes. That, and some football probably too, can be seen February 6 on Fox.
