There were only 12 spots on the first-team Reebok Super Team defense for players from all over the state.

And when you're from the most talent-rich state for high school football in the country, making the second team or even third team is nothing to be ashamed of.

Today we'll go over the second- and third-teamers on the defensive side of the football that are from the DFW area.

Second team

DT - Daniel Noble, Flower Mound Marcus - The 16th-ranked DT in the country, Noble had 33 tackles with 7 behind the line. Committed to Oklahoma.

DT - Diamonte Wheeler, Arlington Bowie - With good size at 6 foot 2, 270 pounds, Wheeler has major interest in Oklahoma State.

LB - Caleb Lavey, Celina - Tremendous size and huge stats (over 400 tackles in three seasons) have Oklahoma State excited to land a commitment from Lavey.

LB - Aaron Benson, Cedar Hill - 132 tackles and eight sacks = offer from Texas, where he committed in February.

S - Barry Browning, Everman - This pure safety has brains, and offers from SMU, Duke and Stanford.

S - Quentin Hayes, Lancaster - Another pure safety with 4.4 speed, Hayes has committed to Oklahoma.

Third team: Donovan Vestal, DE, Arlington Bowie; Domonique Patterson, OLB, Dallas Skyline; Tyler Stephenson, CB, Lancaster; Cade Foster, UTIL (K), Southlake Carroll
