Garrett, Cowboys Remain Focused on 2015

The Cowboys aren't looking ahead in the wake of Tony Romo's season-ending clavicle injury

At 3-8, the Dallas Cowboys are about done.

They’re not technically eliminated from playoff contention yet--we can thank the horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad NFC East for that--but Tony Romo is finished for the season, and they’re in the cellar of the aforementioned division.

But head coach Jason Garrett isn’t ready to start thinking about the future.

There’s a lot of football left to be played in 2015,” Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas.

Garrett added that the staff will look to give the players some kind of perspective going into what looks from the outside like a bleak home stretch in the absence of Romo.

“I think it’s part of our message to provide perspective--here we are, where we’ve been, where we’re going and how we’re going to get there,” Garrett said. “We always talk about that. We don’t spend a lot of time talking about other teams in our division and what the standings are, but oftentimes you have to provide a perspective about where we are, where we want to go and how we want to do it. So that certainly will be part of the message when the players come back in on Wednesday.”
